LMP rocks the house

lmp grammercy june 2012...at New York City concert

Lisa Marie Presley and her five-man band rocked the house last night (June 14, 2012) at Gramercy Theatre in New York City. Presley is currently on a mini-tour of the U.S. which she hopes will be followed by a major tour in the Fall, she told the audience. Dressed in an eye-catching red blazer and a long black skirt, the 44-year-old Presley seemed to be relaxed and at-ease as she belted out songs from her latest album, Storm and Grace.

The band, led by Presley's husband, guitarist Michael Lockwood, was a great fit for Lisa Marie, bringing her personal rock&soul&country style to life. Presley even added her own tambourine and timpani drumming skills to the mix.

Presley performed several songs from Storm and Grace, her third album to-date, including "Over Me", "Weary", "Soften the Blows", and of course her heavily-publicized single, "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet", which had the crowd singing along.

One curious stage prop Presley had on stage was a throat spray which she used in-between songs. She explained to the audience that she was recently ordered by her doctor to spray her throat while performing on-stage.

The mini concert was opened by Presley's friend, British singer Angela Mcluskey, who was accompanied by her husband, a talented pianist and violinist. At Lisa Marie's request, the pair joined Presley onstage with her band for the final number "Storm and Grace."

Presley and her band returned for one encore to perform, "Lights Out", the debut single from Presley's first album, To Whom It May Concern.
